OceanView Night Vision cameras installed on unmanned Zyvex Boats

Denmead UK 30th April 2012 The OceanView Zeus Night-Vision Camera has been selected for use by Zyvex Marine in its product portfolio of manned and unmanned nano-composite vessels. Using the Zeus’s remote IP capability to control the camera, video is fed back from the unmanned vessel to the command and control centre where the information is used to help provide the navigational and situational awareness data needed to guide the vessel on its task.
The Zeus has a tri-camera configuration using a thermal imager, an ultra-low light and a colour daylight camera. Having 2-axis, fibre-optic stabilization, the Zeus also includes object tracking, enabling it to lock on another vessel, a man overboard, aircraft, debris or a buoy and keep that object in the centre of the picture. A 640 x 480 HD option is also available for the Zeus camera. The Zeus is OceanView’s flagship product and is sold to megayachts, expedition yachts and sportfish vessels all over the world.
Zyvex Marine, a division of Zyvex Technologies, is building the next generation of vessel platforms. Zyvex is the premier provider of nano-composite vessels in both manned and unmanned configurations. Zyvex developed the first nano-composite vessel, a 54' unmanned surface vessel prototype, setting new standards for an unmanned vessel in the areas of range, speed, sea keeping and payload.

New OceanView Night Vision Camera with "On Screen" Control

Denmead, UK - April 7, 2011
A leading supplier of night-vision cameras to the finest yachts in the world, OceanView has announced the release of the Apollo 2 Xi which instead of a separate controller, utilizes an on-screen controller to make it easier to control and view the images. A small, fixed waterproof mouse and a wireless mouse are supplied to add flexibility, as either mouse can be used to control all the camera’s functions via the on screen menu while simultaneously viewing the images. Eliminating the need for an LCD controller also increases the space available at the helm.
The Apollo 2 Xi's on-screen controller is a truly flexible solution as it can be used with any marine display, including touch screens or on board TV. OceanView offer further flexibility by providing an optional handheld, wireless tablet to control the camera and in May, there will be an option for an iPad app for those owners wanting to operate the camera from their iPad.
Supplied with IP as standard, users can check, view and control the Apollo 2 Xi camera from remote locations on or off the boat. A simple Ethernet installation completes the package.
Standard features of the Apollo 2 Xi include full 360° continuous pan, tilt and 2x digital zoom. There is also an instant home, an on-screen camera direction indicator, a variable colour palette.
Similar to the standard Apollo 2, the Apollo Xi has a thermal camera (320 x 240, 2x digital zoom) and low-light camera in one unit enabling both of the Apollo 2 Xi's images to be displayed simultaneously on two displays or on one display with a split screen. It is also available as a HD unit (640x480, 4x zoom) or in thermal only (TH) or low-light only (LL) models.
Lastly, the series also includes the Apollo 2 Xi F which has been designed specifically to be integrated with the standard Furuno NavNet 3D controller. This unit is not supplied with any OceanView controller thus saving more space at the helm and making control even easier.

OceanView Collaborates with Furuno for Full Integration

Denmead, UK - March 16, 2011
Establishing a mutually beneficial collaborative effort OceanView's Apollo II night vision camera can now be fully integrated into Furuno's NavNet 3D navigation system. With this cooperative endeavor, the Apollo II is the only thermal system that can be managed without an external controller, providing a seamless, complete package. Yacht owners can control their OceanView camera's functions, such as pan, tilt and zoom through the Furuno system.
"OceanView cameras are easily compatible with our NavNet 3D system, making them an ideal collaborator," said Dean Kurutz, Furuno marketing manager. "We enjoy a good working relationship with OceanView and full integration takes it to the next level."
"Helm space is at a premium on many boats," continued Kurutz. "With the Apollo II camera fully integrated into NavNet 3D, there are no extra controls to take up space. It makes monitoring and controlling a boat's night vision system quick and easy."
"While the Apollo II camera is the first to be integrated, our Poseidon and Zeus cameras are also compatible with NavNet 3D," said OceanView CEO Mike Bader. "This enables owners to find the best solution for their night vision needs."
The NavNet 3D system makes navigating a vessel easier than ever before with TimeZero technology facilitating chart redraw, zooming, chart panning, changing chart display modes and other chart handling functions without limited range presets. It operates in a fully digitized environment with highly sensitive digital sensors for radar and fish finders. Built on an Ethernet network, NavNet 3D enables users to add as many components as they desire along with up to ten displays to create their perfect navigational suite.
The Apollo II is a thermal camera and low-light camera in one unit. Both images can be displayed simultaneously on two displays or on one display with split screen. The Apollo II is the least expensive multiple camera system available in the marketplace and sells for less when used with Furuno NavNet 3D as there is no external controller required. It is available in four models: thermal and low-light, thermal only, low-light only and HD. The Apollo II is ideal for sportfishermen, expedition yachts, megayachts and sport yachts, as well as commercial, military, fire and police boats.

OceanView Technologies to Offer Its Popular HD Thermal Imaging System as an Option on All Its Night Vision Cameras

Denmead, UK - March 16, 2010
Responding to the overwhelming popularity of OceanView's Apollo II high definition night vision thermal imaging system, eurotask, their European Distributor has announced it now will offer optional HD thermal imaging on the complete line of OceanView night vision cameras, including its innovative Poseidon, Zeus, Atlas and Triton models.

"Last year, we introduced our ground-breaking Apollo II HD thermal imaging system to rave reviews," said Mark Luffingham, CEO of eurotask Ltd.
"It has proved to be so amazingly popular with the boating public that OceanView are now making it available as an option across their entire night vision camera line."

OceanView's night vision models use infrared sensors to bring all kinds of water hazards into clear view for users when boating at night or in other low-light conditions. By presenting these thermal images in fine 640 x 480 high definition boaters can see more detail, allowing them to safely navigate with greater confidence at night and even in poor weather conditions.
"Our thermal HD camera system delivers more than four times the resolution of other thermal camera systems, providing much sharper detail and greater visual range," Bader said. "With the addition of thermal HD imaging to our entire line, boaters can enjoy this amazing technology at a price that fits any budget."

OceanView's night vision camera systems are a must for any serious recreational boater or commercial mariner. In addition to safe navigation, they offer an added measure of security. They are available in a variety of configurations to suit any need, including dual and three-camera systems, high zoom cameras and precise fibre-optic stabilization.
It's also the only night vision camera manufacturer offering a quick-release base assembly, which allows for easy maintenance and storage. It's also ideal for quick, easy interchangeability between vessels and simplifies installation.

"Our OceanView thermal imaging systems allow you see what's around you at all times, even at a distance." adds Bader. "You can monitor activity on your vessel from the Internet from anywhere in the world, day or night."
The company offers a full line of thermal imaging options, as well as low-light cameras and high-quality colour cameras. Its systems offer seamless integration with any marine monitor, or TV, and integrate easily with all of today's available marine electronics. "We offer a solution appropriate to fit every need," said Bader.

Industry Innovator VEI Technologies to Introduce Groundbreaking New LED Series Marine Display System in Miami

Denmead, 3rd January, 2010 - eurotask Ltd., is pleased to announce that VEI Technologies, a manufacturer of market-leading marine electronics, will unveil its groundbreaking new LED Series Marine Display System at the Miami International Boat Show, February 11-15, 2010. VEI is shaking up the world of marine display design with this new advanced system, which is brighter, sharper, and produces far less heat than standard marine monitors.
“When it comes to marine displays and computer systems, VEI is an established leader,” said Mike Bader, COO of VEI Technologies of Boca Raton, Fla. “So it's not surprising that with the new LED Series Marine Display system, we're taking the tried-and-true marine display technology to a whole new level, offering boaters and captains unparalleled performance and durability.”
Bader added, “This LED display system has recently been fitted on some of the finest new-build yachts in the world.”

LED Series Marine Display System and LCD Control
VEI's LED Series Marine Display System offers a host of innovative features, including:

* Separate LCD control unit, which operates all menu functions and allows input choices for up to six screens at the helm
* Nine inputs - four VGA, four composite, one DVI - to meet every need
* Available in four levels of brightness
* Scratchproof, anti-glare glass, an industry innovation
* All-glass with no bezel - a no-cost option
* Optional touch screen available
* Flexibility of six installation types with one monitor, including sealed, vented yoke, ram and flat mount or custom bezel

Durable and Customizable
VEI Marine Display Systems can be customized for any helm look, an invaluable feature for OEMs, refit yards and yacht designers. “Our bezels are available in a variety of colour options, as well as wood grain or carbon fibre,” added Bader. “We also offer them in all-glass and no-bezel as a no-cost option.”
These systems also are extremely durable, and able to withstand the most demanding marine conditions. “They hold up to the long periods of vibration, moisture and exposure to salt water that are common, especially in extended offshore cruising conditions,” said Bader. “And, they're easily mounted and serviced. Four small screws allow for quick installation and accessibility from the rear of the monitor.”

Apollo II HD - New HighDefinition Dual Thermal & Low Light Camera System

eurotask Ltd., European Distributor for OceanView Technologies Inc., a leader in day/night multiple vision camera systems, has announced the introduction of the Apollo II HD, a High Definition 640 x 480 Thermal Imager with 4x digital zoom and ultra Low Light camera combination.

Mounted in the same 360° pan and tilt housing as the very popular Apollo II, the Apollo II HD has 4x the resolution and roughly twice the range. The thermal image in HD is provides the user superb visibility not only in total darkness but also in a wide variety of poor lighting conditions including low-light, heavy rain, bright sun and some fog. The low-light sensor renders a crisp detailed picture even in the poorest light conditions.

Providing yachts with improved navigational awareness, security and surveillance capability can make boating safer and more enjoyable. Early identification of floating debris, semi-submerged objects, unlit channel markers and other vessels or unknown "targets", day or night, is a real benefit.

The new LCD controller gives the user fingertip control and easy access to a simple menu where there is an on-screen camera position indicator and a return home button. For remote access via the internet, an IP control option is available along with additional controllers for dual station installations. Simple Ethernet connectivity makes for easy installation and integration into other on board systems.

The Apollo II HD is an addition to the existing OceanView products which include the Apollo II, Triton, Atlas, Poseidon and Zeus, a range which covers vessels from 20 meters to 100 meters.
